Simple Montessori ideas you can try at home
By Ms. Rana Abdullah
You don’t need expensive tools; preparing a home for your child’s independence starts with small changes to shelf heights and how things are arranged.

Montessori philosophy says: “Help me to do it myself.” Here are four easy ideas to start with.
Put the world within reach
- Keep cups and plates on a low shelf.
- Give them a low hook for their coat and bag.
- Make a small book corner with covers facing out.
Involve them in daily life
Let them help wash fruit, pour water and fold small towels. It takes longer, but it builds focus and confidence that are priceless.
